Projects

As you are know I work for Philips Healthcare (Cleveland Customer Support) and have been here at Vanderbilt since November 2006. I"m here providing Technical Support for the Human 7T Research Machine and also provide Technical Support for both Research 3T Machines. I"m part of the research agreement between Philips and Vanderbilt which had provisions in it to have a Technical Support person onsite (Me) as well as a Clinical Science person (Ryan now but was Brian Welch). Vanderbilt is now one of the top Philips Research Sites in the world and I feel proud, excited, and challenged to be part of it. The staff, faculty, and trainees keep me sharp in my MR troubleshooting skills and all are a pleasure to work with. Nashville is a great place to live and work and my wife and I are having fun living here. My job also consists of traveling to our other 7T Research Sites providing support during installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting system problems. I also provide support to local service troubleshooting system problems with other MR machines not limited to 7 Tesla. My MRI Career started back in 1983 for Picker International working in Electrical Engineering. We then became Marconi and of course now Philips Healthcare. I took the job for Customer Support in 2006 but have always enjoyed working at Research Sites during my Career troubleshooting strange and difficult problems as well as building good customer relations.
